報告摘要：We present a semiclassical description of surface waves traveling in stratified elastic medium. This semiclassical perspective is known to the geophysical community as the slow variational principle, and its mathematically rigorous framework was proposed by Colin de Verdiere (for acoustics). I will also talk about related inverse spectral problems, that are to use the dispersion relations of surface waves to explore the subsurface structure.
報告人簡介： 翟劍，複旦大學青年副研究員。2018年博士畢業于美國萊斯大學，之後在華盛頓大學以及香港科技大學從事博士後研究。2021年起在複旦大學任青年副研究員。2021年入選國家級海外青年人才項目。主要研究方向為反問題的理論分析及計算方法，特别是和地球物理學相關的彈性波方程反問題的數學理論。相關成果發表在Trans. A.M.S.，JMPA，Comm. P.D.E.，SIAM J. Appl. Math.，Inverse Problems等期刊上。
