In this talk, I will present our current research results on traveling waves for time-delayed reaction-diffusion equations with degeneracy. Different from the existing studies where there exists a minimum wave speed for the traveling waves in the case of mono-stable type equations like Fisher-KPP, we recognize that, for the local reaction-diffusion equations with degenerate diffusion and time-delay, there is no traveling wave with minimum speed, namely, the waves exist only for all speed c>0, but not for c<0 nor c=0. The global stability in L^1-weighted space is also proved.
This talk is based on our two recent papers joint with Rui Huang, Chunhua Ji, Jingxue Yin published in J. Nonlinear Sci. (2018), and joint with Tianyuan Xu, Shanming Ji and Jingxue Yin in J. Diff. Eqn. (2018).
報告人簡介:
梅茗教授,自2005年起為加拿大McGill大學兼職教授及Champlain學院的終身教授,博士生導師。2015年被聘為吉林省“長白山學者”講座教授,以及東北師範大學“東師學者”講座教授。主要從事流體力學中偏微分方程和生物數學中帶時滞反應擴散方程研究,在ARMA, SIAM, JDE, Commun.PDEs 等刊物發發表論文70多篇,是12家SCI國際數學雜志的編委。并一直承擔加拿大自然科學基金項目,魁北克省自然科學基金項目,及魁北克省大專院校國際局的基金項目。
